Taking Ann's ashes up to the Berg - July 2016

We took Ann's ashes up to the 'Berg over the July holiday 2016.
We stayed in a thatched chalet at Thendele with a lovely view of the Amphitheatre. Right in front of us was a group of rocks with a Kiepersol tree.

When I walked to the other side, I found a little Haleria lucida (tree fuchsia) growing in a crevasse. We thought this would be a lovely place to put Ann's ashes..... with company but in a beautiful place in the Drakensberg.

Teya  played some music on her clarinet (Auld Lang Syne & Suis Mon Conducteur).
Axl piled some stones on top of the split boulder - one from everybody we could think of.

The children made some bouquets with wild flowers.

Finally - we toasted her life with a glass of sherry!
